New IBIS sheet pile feeder provides additional flexibility for in-line Smart-binders

A new-design sheet feeder (option SB-097) is now available for use with in-line connected Smart-binders to allow sheets to also be fed from a sheet pile. View a video HERE

This new SB-097 feeder replaces the old design SB-096 sheet feeder on the side. It offers a significant advantage over the old SB-096 feeder in not requiring sheet direction change.

In-line Operation
To run in-line, the 'Lift Table and Bridge conveyor' is raised to its highest position, as shown above. The bridge conveyor then transports sheets from the upstream web cutter through the sheet feeder to the Smart-binder infeed.

Off-line Operation
When running 'off-line' the 'lift table and bridge conveyor' is lowered and sheets are loaded on top of the bridge conveyor, as shown below. The feeder then feeds sheets off the top of the pile into the Smart-binder at rates up to 400 sheets/min.

The changeover time between in-line and off-line operation is less than one minute.
