IBIS
Smart-binder installed at Maqprint, France
At their print factory close to Limoges, Maqprint use a unique system
to produce stitched and trimmed booklets from rolls printed on an
HP web printer.
An IBIS Smart-binder SB-2 'Plus HS' with two additional buckle-folders
and a sheet rotator produces personalized (individually addressed)
booklets, format size 15 x 21 cm.
Rolls printed on an HP press are unwound and cut into large-format
sheets with 16 pages printed on each sheet (8 on each side) . The
sheets are buckle-folded in half, rotated 90 degrees, and then buckle-folded
in half again before entering the IBIS Smart-binder.
The cover feeder feeds a separate outside cover, if required.
