Best Graphics to distribute IBIS products in North America

We are delighted to announce a new sales and service distribution partnership with Best Graphics Inc., based in Milwaukee, USA. Best Graphics have 39 years’ experience as an independent Graphic Arts equipment supplier with products such as Wohlenberg perfect-binders, Osako saddle-stitchers, Itotec cutting systems, Omega folder/gluers and Busch pile turners.

Best Graphics will henceforth operate as IBIS’s USA Distributor, focusing on IBIS ‘Smart-binder’ sales to the Digital print market. The Smart-binder complements Best Graphics' sales of Osako saddle-stitchers and Wohlenberg perfect binders to the Offset print market. Best Graphics will also provide Smart-binder service and parts service support through its US-wide after-sales network.

A Smart-binder SB-3 'Plus HS' is being shipped to Best Graphics' showroom in Milwaukee to enable customers to view the machine in operation and to test run their materials if needed, prior to making a purchase decision. This Smart-binder will be fed from a Tecnau unwinder/web cutter and will also enable Best Graphics to provide customer training.

The Smart-binder has some unique advantages, such as:

• The option for ISG cold glue binding instead of wire stitching
• On-the-run thickness variation book-to-book for true digital ‘book of one’ production
• Integrated sheet and booklet tracking for personalised booklet production
• Multi shift 24 x 7 operation for over 1 million booklets a month

We expect these features, together with Best Graphics' sales and support capabilities, to result in an increased market share for IBIS in the USA. A large stock of Smart-binder Spare parts will be held by Best Graphics, enabling most parts to be delivered from their Milwaukee base.
