O'Neil Data Systems take delivery of their second Smart-binder:

"We recently took delivery of our second IBIS Smart-binder which was up and running within 48 hours of delivery. In addition to the ease of start-up, we were extremely pleased by the performance enhancements on the new Smart-binder compared with our older model Smart-binder. Speeds had improved substantially due to several new innovative designs incorporated into the new model. We are now in the process of upgrading our older model with the new features. Both our Smart-binders have proven over time to be solid performers and are operating at peak production rates."

IGAS 2007:

IBIS sales partner Sakata Inx. in Japan, exhibited at the Tokyo exhibition.

They demonstrated an off-line Smart Binder SB-3 producing personalised visitor guides to the show. Visitors entered information on-line that they required for their visit, and the tour guides were printed automatically. The booklet was finished on the Smart binder and page content varied on-the-run (under bar-code control) between 12 and 20 pages. Each booklet included a ‘tear-out’ visitor inquiry sheet which was perforated on the IBIS Smart Binder using the new DMP 100 dynamic perforation option.pdf newsletter(176KB)

IBIS assisted sales partner CP Bourg Inc. to demonstrate an off-line Smart Binder SB-3 producing wire stitched (and/or cold glued) notebooks with a separately-fed cover and varying page extent. On Demand and Grafitalia, May 2006: The IBIS Smart-binder was exhibited at both Grafitalia in Milan, Italy, and the AIIM On-Demand Exposition (part of the world's leading Digital Printing Conference) in Philadelphia, PA, USA. 

At Grafitalia the Smart-binder was fed from a pre-printed roll using Kern unwinder and web cutting equipment. For more information about Kern go to www.Kern.ch. At On-Demand the Smart-binder was shown as part of an inline system in connection with a Delphax 2000 page/minute printer and running 35lb offset (50 gram) paper. IPEX, April 2006: Three IBIS Smart-binder systems were shown at IPEX 2006 in the UK during April, in connection with Xerox (www.xerox.com) , Delphax (www.delphax.com) and Xeikon (www.xeikon.com) printers.

Two of these Smart-binder systems were shown with the new IBIS 'SCF' providing an automatic interface to a Bourg adhesive binder. This interface allows the SB-4 system to produce thick adhesive bound books in-line automatically, as well as thinner saddlebound (glued or wire stitched) booklets.
