IBIS at Drupa 2008

A Smart-binder SB-3 was exhibited at Drupa 2008 connected in line with a new Xerox CF1300 (Sedona) digital web printer and Hunkeler CS6 cutter on the Xerox stand. The demonstration both showed the system with the Smart-binder running for long periods at speeds of 1300 pages/min (95 m/min , 311 ft/min) in-line with the printer, and also off-line from its own deep pile feeder on the side . Many thousands of booklets were produced during the 14 days of Drupa and we hope you had an opportunity to see this system if you visited the show.

A number of exciting new high speed digital colour web printers were exhibited at Drupa, from different printer manufactures which increases the opportunities for the in-line Smart-binder system in future.

Smart-binder Validation

At Drupa we were able to validate the Smart-binder performance in-line with the new Xerox CF1300 printer. We have also recently completed Smart-binder validation in-line with Océ’s new VS9610 high speed web printer and Oce’s VP6250 cut-sheet printer here at IBIS, UK,.

Print Week Magazine Article

Just prior to Drupa, a full two page review of the Smart-binder was published in the UK ‘Print Week’ magazine. We've received a good response from interested new customers to this article, which starts "The IBIS is a strange bird. A saddle stitcher that can also adhesive bind?
