Smart Label-binder (SLB) specifications

Maximum input speed	100-130 meters/min (328-426 ft/min web speed 150 meters/min (492 ft/min) with extra F-100 buckle folder 180 meters/min (590 ft/min) with extra F-101 buckle folder Note: The maximum web speed is reduced if using lightweight paper stock and/or when producing booklets which contain a small number of printed pages (example 8pp booklets).
Maximum input sheet arrival rate	300-400 sheets/min, depending on sheet format size and other factors Note: The maximum sheet arrival rate is reduced if using lightweight paper stock and/or when producing booklets which contain a small number of printed pages (example: 8pp booklets).
Maximum booklet production rate	(one-up): 7,000 booklets/hour or 5,000 booklets/hour if trimmer is modified to reduce minimum trimmed booklet width to 82.5mm (3.25") (two-up, using trimmer center-knife): 14,000 booklets/hour or 10,000 booklets/hour with the 82.5mm (3.25") trimmer modification.
Maximum compressed booklet thickness	10mm = approx. 200 printed pages or more depending on paper stock weight. Note: The maximum booklet thickness is reduced if feeding pre-folded sheets or if using the trimmer center-knife, or if using 43/6S wire stitch heads.

Maximum untrimmed booklet size	236mm (9.29") width x 320mm (12.6") spine length Note: To produce more than 312mm (12.28") spine length using a standard SLB, the side knives must be removed. Note: The maximum untrimmed booklet spine length if using the special 'stretched' model SLB-X increases to 457mm (18"). The maximum untrimmed booklet width with the BWM-100 modification is 273mm (10.75").
Minimum trimmed booklet size	119mm (4.69") width x 200mm (7.87") spine length Note: 119mm minimum trimmed width can be reduced to 82.5mm (3.25") with modification BWM-100 - or 75mm (2.95") if no face trim is needed Note: 200mm minimum trimmed spine length can be reduced to 91mm (3.58") if using the trimmer center-knife CKN-101.
Maximum Input sheet size	472mm (18.58") width x 320mm (12.6") length Note: The special extended model SLB-X increases the maximum length to from 320mm to 457mm (18"). The special BWM-100 modifications increases the maximum sheet width from 472 to 546mm (21.5").
Minimum Input sheet size	250mm (9.84") width x 210mm (8.27") length Note: the minimum width of 250mm can be reduced to 150mm (5.9") with special BWM-100 modifications.
Input cover size without optional Cover Autoloader CAL-101	Maximum : 320mm (12.6") length x 500mm (19.68") width Minimum: 210mm (8.27") length x 250 - 300mm (9.84 - 11.8") width Note: a small modification is required to the CIF-102 cover feeder to reduce the min cover width from 300mm to 250mm.
Input cover size WITH optional Cover Autoloader CAL-101	Maximum: 320mm (12.6") length x 472mm (18.6") width Minimum: 210mm (8.27") length x 300mm (11.8") width Note: 300mm (11.8") is the minimum cover width with the Autoloader fitted.
Paper minimum stock weight	37 g/㎡ (25 lbs offset) Note: The F-100 folder is recommended when running very light weight paper stocks).
Stitch heads 52/8-S and 43/6-S	Stitch heads are an optional extra on the SLB (not normally required for ECL production).
Edge Trim-off	Front edge: 4 - 25mm (0.16 - 0.98"), Sides: 4 - 20mm (0.16 - 0.79")
Operator interface	Graphical touch screen with multi-languages for system set up, operation, and operator feedback. Separate large screen on top of the machine for additional operating data and messaging.
